Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2006 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Mountains by Wu Li. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 57,600.00 (€ 5,585.82), 15% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Li achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spring Mountains In Seclusion in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 6,080,000.00 (€ 715,489.87).
