Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Mountains in Fog by Wu Li. It changed hands for a price of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 18,525.62) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Li achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spring Mountains In Seclusion in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 6,080,000.00 (€ 715,489.87).
