In November 2005 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY, which included the work Bare Tree, Bamboo, And Rock by Wu Li. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 96,000.00 (€ 10,503.82), 60% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Li achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spring Mountains In Seclusion in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 6,080,000.00 (€ 715,489.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bare Tree, Bamboo, And Rock von Wu Li zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 96.000,00 (€ 10.503,82) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Li erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spring Mountains In Seclusion im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.080.000,00 (€ 715.489,87).
