Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Visiting Friend by Hong Wu was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2011. It changed hands for a price of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 35,874.90) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 280,000.00 – 380,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hong Wu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pocket-Sized Landscapes Handscroll, which sold at auction in May 2017 for HKD 826,000.00 (€ 94,318.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Visiting Friend von Hong Wu wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 35.874,90) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 280.000,00 – 380.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hong Wu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pocket-Sized Landscapes Handscroll beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für HKD 826.000,00 (€ 94.318,08) versteigert wurde.
