Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wooden Doll by Wu Hao was sold in the Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 81,900.00 (€ 9,071.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Wu Hao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape in April this year with an auction result of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 61,271.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wooden Doll von Wu Hao wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 81.900,00 (€ 9.071,09) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wu Hao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 61.271,74).
