Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Flowers by Wu Da-Yu was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 8,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 8,500,000.00 (€ 1,003,304.27). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Da-Yu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled 14, which sold at auction in April 2016 for HKD 18,080,000.00 (€ 2,036,982.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Flowers von Wu Da-Yu wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 8.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 8.500.000,00 (€ 1.003.304,27) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Da-Yu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled 14 beobachtet, die im April 2016 für HKD 18.080.000,00 (€ 2.036.982,78) versteigert wurde.
