In April 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Art, which included the work Untitled Ii-511 by Wu Da-Yu. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 200,000.00 (€ 22,765.82), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Da-Yu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled 14 in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 18,080,000.00 (€ 2,036,982.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im April 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled Ii-511 von Wu Da-Yu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 22.765,82) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Da-Yu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled 14 im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 18.080.000,00 (€ 2.036.982,78).
