The work Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Seal Script by Wu Dacheng was auctioned at Christies in New York in August this year. It achieved a price of HKD 75,600.00 (€ 8,892.89), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Dacheng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 5,360,000.00 (€ 619,458.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Seal Script von Wu Dacheng kam im August diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 75.600,00 (€ 8.892,89) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Dacheng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.360.000,00 (€ 619.458,88).
