Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wu Dacheng could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in March last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part IV auction, the work Calligraphy Couplet in Seal Script changed hands for USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,448.12) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Dacheng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 5,360,000.00 (€ 619,458.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Dacheng konnte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part IV wechselte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet in Seal Script für USD 3.825,00 (€ 3.448,12) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Dacheng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.360.000,00 (€ 619.458,88).
