Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Stone-drum Script by Wu Dacheng was sold in the Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in New York in August this year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 277,200.00 (€ 32,607.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Dacheng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 5,360,000.00 (€ 619,458.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Stone-drum Script von Wu Dacheng wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 277.200,00 (€ 32.607,25) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Dacheng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.360.000,00 (€ 619.458,88).
