The work Calligraphy in seal script, Liyoubi Ding Inscription by Wu Dacheng was worth USD 40,312.50 (€ 36,340.48) to a buyer in March last year. This price was achieved in the auction The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part IV at Bonhams in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 10,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Dacheng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 5,360,000.00 (€ 619,458.88).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy in seal script, Liyoubi Ding Inscription von Wu Dacheng war einem Käufer im März letzten Jahres USD 40.312,50 (€ 36.340,48) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part IV bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Dacheng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.360.000,00 (€ 619.458,88).
