Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Calligraphy Couplet In Jinwen by Wu Dacheng was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 138,600.00 (€ 14,839.30), 16% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Dacheng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 5,360,000.00 (€ 619,458.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Jinwen von Wu Dacheng wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 138.600,00 (€ 14.839,30) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Dacheng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Zhuanshu im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.360.000,00 (€ 619.458,88).
