Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art | and CCA Lagos Benefit Auction, which included the work Words of Justice III by Wosene Worke Kosrof. The price achieved of GBP 3,528.00 (€ 4,182.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wosene Worke Kosrof achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roots Of Words Iii in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 46,397.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art | and CCA Lagos Benefit Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Words of Justice III von Wosene Worke Kosrof zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.528,00 (€ 4.182,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wosene Worke Kosrof erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roots Of Words Iii im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 46.397,13).
