Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary African Art, which included the work The Moon, The Dancers and The Fire by Wosene Worke Kosrof. The price achieved of GBP 8,820.00 (€ 10,449.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wosene Worke Kosrof have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Roots Of Words Iii in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 46,397.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Moon, The Dancers and The Fire von Wosene Worke Kosrof zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.820,00 (€ 10.449,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden.
