In August last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art Online, which included the work Untitled (framed) by Wosene Worke Kosrof. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,245.89), 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wosene Worke Kosrof achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roots Of Words Iii in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 46,397.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im August letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (framed) von Wosene Worke Kosrof zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.805,00 (€ 3.245,89) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wosene Worke Kosrof erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roots Of Words Iii im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 46.397,13).
