Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary African Art, which included the work WordPlay IV (2007) by Wosene Worke Kosrof. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 25,062.50 (€ 27,829.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Wosene Worke Kosrof have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2019 the work Roots Of Words Iii was auctioned for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 46,397.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit WordPlay IV (2007) von Wosene Worke Kosrof zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 25.062,50 (€ 27.829,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Wosene Worke Kosrof konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2019 die Arbeit Roots Of Words Iii für GBP 40.000,00 (€ 46.397,13) versteigert.
