Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,710.00 (€ 11,892.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wosene Worke Kosrof - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roots Of Words Iii, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 46,397.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Moon, The Dancers And The Fire von Wosene Worke Kosrof kam im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.710,00 (€ 11.892,54) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
