The »bidding war« ended at GBP 30,000.00 (€ 34,797.85), 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wosene Worke Kosrof; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Roots Of Words Iii sold at auction in October 2019 with the realized price of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 46,397.13).

Die Arbeit Moon And The Blue Goddess von Wosene Worke Kosrof wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 34.797,85) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Wosene Worke Kosrof; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Roots Of Words Iii im Oktober 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 46.397,13).
