Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Yangtze River in Sichuan Province by Wong Hau Kwei was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2013. It changed hands for a price of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 11,156.45) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 90,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wong Hau Kwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Sail in Hong Kong Harbour in November 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 138,987.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Yangtze River in Sichuan Province von Wong Hau Kwei wurde im Mai 2013 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 112.500,00 (€ 11.156,45) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 90.000,00 – 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wong Hau Kwei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Red Sail in Hong Kong Harbour im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 138.987,33).
