Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Congestion Night by Wong Hau Kwei was sold in the Chinese Contemporary Ink auction at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2015. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 106,250.00 (€ 12,288.19). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wong Hau Kwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Sail in Hong Kong Harbour in November 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 138,987.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Congestion Night von Wong Hau Kwei wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 106.250,00 (€ 12.288,19) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wong Hau Kwei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Red Sail in Hong Kong Harbour im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 138.987,33).
