Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Five Prints by the Artist by Wolf Vostell was auctioned at Christies in New York in April this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,300.00 – 3,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,890.00 (€ 1,711.96). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wolf Vostell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work B 52 in November 2012 with an auction result of EUR 51,600.00.
