Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Myanmar Lady by Win Pe was auctioned at Bonhams in Hong Kong in December last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 11,000.00 – 23,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 12,112.50 (€ 1,451.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Win Pe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Strawberry Seller in May last year with an auction result of HKD 267,600.00 (€ 31,769.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Myanmar Lady von Win Pe kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 11.000,00 – 23.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 12.112,50 (€ 1.451,51) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Win Pe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Strawberry Seller im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 267.600,00 (€ 31.769,86).
