Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Hintha by Win Pe was sold in the Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 102,000.00 (€ 12,109.59). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Win Pe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Strawberry Seller, which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 267,600.00 (€ 31,769.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Hintha von Win Pe wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 102.000,00 (€ 12.109,59) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Win Pe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Strawberry Seller beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 267.600,00 (€ 31.769,86) versteigert wurde.
