Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 7,450.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wim Oepts have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The yellow house in December 2006 with an auction result of EUR 36,000.00.

Die Arbeit The Edge Of Town von Wim Oepts wurde im Dezember 2007 in der Auktion Twentieth Century Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 7.450,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wim Oepts auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The yellow house im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 36.000,00.
