Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wim Oepts achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2016. In the Modern Art auction, the work Strolling sold for EUR 5,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wim Oepts have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The yellow house in December 2006 with an auction result of EUR 36,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wim Oepts erzielte im Dezember 2016 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Art wurde die Arbeit Strolling für EUR 5.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wim Oepts auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The yellow house im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 36.000,00.
