In July 2002 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Teatime (Lois and Betty-June) by Wilson Irvine. The price achieved of USD 35,850.00 (€ 36,596.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Other works by Wilson Irvine have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2004 the work Selden's Cove was auctioned for USD 59,750.00 (€ 48,608.85).
