Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2000 Christies in New York held the auction American Paintings, which included the work Cows in a Fall Landscape by Wilson Irvine. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,640.00 (€ 5,908.85). Admittedly, works by Wilson Irvine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selden's Cove in March 2004 with an auction result of USD 59,750.00 (€ 48,608.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2000 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cows in a Fall Landscape von Wilson Irvine zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.640,00 (€ 5.908,85) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wilson Irvine auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selden's Cove im März 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 59.750,00 (€ 48.608,85).
