Sold at the lower estimate price
In March 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, which included the work Katwijk; two fisherwomen by Willy Sluiter. The result of EUR 1,500.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willy Sluiter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Modern times: promenading on Scheveningen boulevard in April 2003 with an auction result of EUR 89,625.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im März 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Katwijk; two fisherwomen von Willy Sluiter zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.500,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willy Sluiter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Modern times: promenading on Scheveningen boulevard im April 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 89.625,00.
