Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abstract composition by Willy Boers was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in July 2000. The price achieved of NLG 2,925.50 (€ 1,285.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as NLG 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Willy Boers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pseudozoisch (schijnbaar dierlijk) in September 2001 with an auction result of EUR 5,170.00.

Die Arbeit Abstract composition von Willy Boers wurde im Juli 2000 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von NLG 2.925,50 (€ 1.285,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit NLG 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willy Boers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pseudozoisch (schijnbaar dierlijk) im September 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.170,00.
