In September 2005 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work Preludium by Willy Boers. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,280.00 52% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willy Boers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pseudozoisch (schijnbaar dierlijk), which sold at auction in September 2001 for EUR 5,170.00.
