The auction ended at the price of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,293.80), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Wyld have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work On the Grand Canal, Venice in September 2006 with an auction result of GBP 10,800.00 (€ 15,932.28).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.293,80) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Wyld auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit On the Grand Canal, Venice im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.800,00 (€ 15.932,28).
