The price achieved of GBP 1,512.00 (€ 1,689.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by William Wyld have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work On the Grand Canal, Venice in September 2006 with an auction result of GBP 10,800.00 (€ 15,932.28).
