In December 2020 Christies in London held the auction 300 Years Of British Drawings, which included the work The fishing fleet at dusk by William Wyld. The result of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,234.18) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Wyld have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work On the Grand Canal, Venice in September 2006 with an auction result of GBP 10,800.00 (€ 15,932.28).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion 300 Years Of British Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The fishing fleet at dusk von William Wyld zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.234,18) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Wyld auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit On the Grand Canal, Venice im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.800,00 (€ 15.932,28).
