The result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,577.12) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Wyld - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work On the Grand Canal, Venice, which sold at auction in September 2006 for GBP 10,800.00 (€ 15,932.28).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.577,12) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00.
