Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work A view over the Amstel towards the Kloveniersburgwal, the tower of the Zuiderkerk in the distance and the Halvemaansbrug to the right, Amsterdam by William Wyld for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,461.45). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Drawings and British Drawings and Watercolours at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Wyld achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On the Grand Canal, Venice in September 2006 with an auction result of GBP 10,800.00 (€ 15,932.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A view over the Amstel towards the Kloveniersburgwal, the tower of the Zuiderkerk in the distance and the Halvemaansbrug to the right, Amsterdam von William Wyld für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.461,45) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Drawings and British Drawings and Watercolours bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Wyld erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit On the Grand Canal, Venice im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.800,00 (€ 15.932,28).
