Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (Industrial Scene), 1987 by William Theophilus Brown was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,355.00 (€ 4,850.54). Admittedly, works by William Theophilus Brown have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Still Life With Lemon) in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 45,600.00 (€ 35,533.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Industrial Scene), 1987 von William Theophilus Brown kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.355,00 (€ 4.850,54) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Theophilus Brown auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Still Life With Lemon) im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 45.600,00 (€ 35.533,39).
