Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spencer Tracy Sings The Blues by William Smith Ronald was auctioned at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2012. The price achieved of CAD 36,000.00 (€ 28,132.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Smith Ronald - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Back Thru Spring, which sold at auction in May 2012 for CAD 100,250.00 (€ 78,341.60).
