Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of CAD 36,000.00 (€ 28,132.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Smith Ronald - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Back Thru Spring, which sold at auction in May 2012 for CAD 100,250.00 (€ 78,341.60).
