Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Alpine Haystacks by William Samuel Horton was sold in the The House Sale auction at Christies in New York in March 2007. The price achieved of USD 3,600.00 (€ 2,691.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Samuel Horton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Punch and Judy on the Beach in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 38,638.17).

Die Arbeit Alpine Haystacks von William Samuel Horton wurde im März 2007 in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.600,00 (€ 2.691,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden.
