Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Deep Woods after Snowfall by William Samuel Horton for USD 1,800.00 (€ 1,526.72). This price was achieved in the auction THE HOUSE SALE at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Samuel Horton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Punch and Judy on the Beach in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 38,638.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Deep Woods after Snowfall von William Samuel Horton für USD 1.800,00 (€ 1.526,72) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion THE HOUSE SALE bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Samuel Horton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Punch and Judy on the Beach im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 38.638,17).
