Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of AUD 3,585.00 (€ 2,088.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Rubery Bennett have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Storm Clouds over Silverdale (Close to Camden, NSW) in May 2002 with an auction result of AUD 30,550.00 (€ 18,515.15).
