Upper estimate price exceeded by 38 %.
The work Woman Picking Nuts by William Roberts was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in March this year. It achieved a price of GBP 8,287.50 (€ 9,428.63), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Roberts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Chess Players in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 1,161,250.00 (€ 1,446,866.41).
