Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Swan Upping 27.6 x 22 cm. (10 7/8 x 8 5/8 in.) (sheet); 24 x 19 (9 3/8 x 7 1.2 in.) (image) by William Roberts was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in November last year. The price achieved of GBP 15,300.00 (€ 17,729.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Roberts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Chess Players in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 1,161,250.00 (€ 1,446,866.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Swan Upping 27.6 x 22 cm. (10 7/8 x 8 5/8 in.) (sheet); 24 x 19 (9 3/8 x 7 1.2 in.)
