Auction result well in line with expectations
The work View of Schiedam near the Scheldt; and The lighthouse Tussendam by William Raymond Dommersen was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2010. The price achieved of EUR 4,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Raymond Dommersen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A street in the Jews Quarter, Amsterdam in April 2003 with an auction result of EUR 20,315.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit View of Schiedam near the Scheldt; and The lighthouse Tussendam von William Raymond Dommersen kam im November 2010 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Raymond Dommersen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A street in the Jews Quarter, Amsterdam im April 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 20.315,00.
