In October 2010 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art, which included the work Rowing out at Hoorn, Holland by William Raymond Dommersen. The auction ended at the price of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,729.52), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Raymond Dommersen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A street in the Jews Quarter, Amsterdam in April 2003 with an auction result of EUR 20,315.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rowing out at Hoorn, Holland von William Raymond Dommersen zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.729,52) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Raymond Dommersen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A street in the Jews Quarter, Amsterdam im April 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 20.315,00.
