Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Lilac Garden at Versailles, France by William Posey Silva was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. The price achieved of USD 4,480.00 (€ 4,133.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Posey Silva achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work California Coast, a triptych in May this year with an auction result of USD 57,600.00 (€ 54,064.20).

Die Arbeit The Lilac Garden at Versailles, France von William Posey Silva wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.480,00 (€ 4.133,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Posey Silva erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit California Coast, a triptych im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 57.600,00 (€ 54.064,20).
