Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Small Beach - Lobos by William Posey Silva was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,824.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Posey Silva achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work California Coast, a triptych in May this year with an auction result of USD 57,600.00 (€ 54,064.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Small Beach - Lobos von William Posey Silva kam im November 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.187,50 (€ 2.824,05) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Posey Silva erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit California Coast, a triptych im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 57.600,00 (€ 54.064,20).
