Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Bridge in the Garden of Dreams by William Posey Silva was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,837.50 (€ 9,184.32) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by William Posey Silva have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work California Coast, a triptych in May this year with an auction result of USD 57,600.00 (€ 54,064.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Bridge in the Garden of Dreams von William Posey Silva kam im August 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.837,50 (€ 9.184,32) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Posey Silva auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit California Coast, a triptych im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 57.600,00 (€ 54.064,20).
