Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2020 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California and Western Art, which included the work A Little Village in France by William Posey Silva. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,950.00 (€ 5,822.72), 16% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by William Posey Silva have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work California Coast, a triptych in May this year with an auction result of USD 57,600.00 (€ 54,064.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2020 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California and Western Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Little Village in France von William Posey Silva zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 6.950,00 (€ 5.822,72) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Posey Silva auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit California Coast, a triptych im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 57.600,00 (€ 54.064,20).
