Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mount Atom (something big) by William Monk was auctioned at Phillips in London in December this year. The price achieved of GBP 11,430.00 (€ 13,166.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Monk achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Far-Out III in December last year with an auction result of HKD 2,520,000.00 (€ 301,985.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mount Atom (something big) von William Monk kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 11.430,00 (€ 13.166,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Monk erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Far-Out III im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.520.000,00 (€ 301.985,42).
