In January 2012 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work The Way Home by William Meadows. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,620.78) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Meadows have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work On The Grand Canal, Venice, Before The Fall of The Tower; And Santa Maria Della Salute, Venice in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 15,600.00 (€ 23,030.50).

Im Januar 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Way Home von William Meadows zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.620,78) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Meadows auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit On The Grand Canal, Venice, Before The Fall of The Tower; And Santa Maria Della Salute, Venice im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.600,00 (€ 23.030,50).
